Since we were young the ocean has spoken to us, never more than our first trip to Roatan over 10 years ago.
With the Islands overpowering beauty, variety of topography, laid back vibe and some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world we could no longer resist.

A Island tour from an Islander is a must to get the full view of the islands diversity. Cleves Tours is the best of the best!
So many choices, so little time! Here are some can't miss ones:
There are so many great charters out there, but these have always had great reviews.
It may be an island but there is some creature comforts.
Eldons Supermarket (2 Locations)
Ace Hardware
There are many on the Island, these are the two that we like and have good reviews.
Want to cut loose, just don't drive drunk please.
Way to many to list here, but head to the West End, a fun environment with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.
Unit 3A is a 1900s.f. 2 bedroom, 2 bath single level unit. We have 2 queen beds and a single bed that is in the closet if needed. Full kitchen with stackable washer and dryer in the pantry.
Beautiful lagoon private beach, massive free form pool with waterfalls and kids slide. Over 3 miles of nature walking trails and some of the best snorkeling in Roatan right outside the lagoon.
Our goal is to offer our Villa to family, close friends and referrals only. The rate is $600 for the week, plus a $125 Electric and cleaning fee. Please check with Deanna on availability. Less than a week stays available too.

Of course virtually every major airline flys to Roatan now, from Sun Country, Delta, United and American. From Minneapolis there is only one who flies direct, Sun Country. I like Google Flights to look at flights and rates personally. Another of my favorites is Kayak.,
Parrot Tree is about 25 minutes away. On the way there is a great grocery store to stock up on essentials and many other stores and restaurants.
I recommend a car or SUV for sure, the island is way too beautiful not to explore. On our referral page you will see a list of rental companies and more. Most of them will pick you up at the airport, take you to to the grocery store and drop you and your rental car off at Parrot Tree! If you feel more comfortable, you can hire a driver for a day and he will take you anywhere you want for very little money. I do recommend a island tour with a guide at least for one day, They will show you all the hot spots and then you can decide where you want to go back to. The main road (only one) winds from one side of the island to the other and it takes a solid hour to drive the whole thing and there are many dirt roads off of the main road leading to beaches, resorts, restaurants and more. Go EXPLORE!
The short answer is no, although english is the second language for sure on the island, we have no trouble in most circumstances. Please at least try to know a few words, at least they know you are trying!
Let us help you get ready for your get-away!
If you have a question about your vacation rental or about our neighborhood services, just ask. We look forward to hearing from you.
